Ron & Janet Benrey have been a successful writing team since the late 1980s. Working together, they:
- Wrote nine inspirational romantic suspence novels — the Pippa Hunnechurch Mysteries (published by B&H Publishing Group), the Royal Tunbridge Wells Mysteries (published by Barbour Books), and the Glory Mysteries (published by Harlequin Steeple Hill)
- Founded a small press that published an award-winning book on bird flight (which they co-ghostwrote)
- Coached (and mentored) many writers and speakers
- Created strategic and executive communications materials for many of America's leading companies.
Ron Benrey, the author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Writing Christian Fiction began his writing career as Electronics Editor of Popular Science Monthly. He is an experienced non-fiction writer who has written more than a thousand bylined magazine articles, eight published books, and scores of major speeches for the CEOs of Fortune-100 companies. Ron has taught dozens of fiction courses and workshops at major Christian Writers’ Conferences, including Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers Conference, Mt. Hermon Christian Writers’ Conference, San Diego Christian Writers Conference and Write! Canada. Ron holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a master's degree in management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a juris doctor from the Duquesne University School of Law. He’s a member of the Bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Janet Benrey brings an unusually diverse background—including experience as editorial director of a small press, executive recruiter, and a novelist—to literary agenting. Janet earned her degree in Communication (Magna cum Laude) from the University of Pittsburg. She is also a graduate of York House College in Kent, England, where she studied commerce and languages. Janet is a frequent speaker at leading writers' conferences, including Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers Conference, Mt. Hermon Christian Writers’ Conference, San Diego Christian Writers Conference, and Writing for the Soul.
